Attention 21st Century Learners

Hello 21st Century Learners! Kindly read my last post. Analyze the poem titled "A Man Falls to his death". This poem may present some difficulty because of its complex language. Remember poetry is intentionally vague to allow a number of interpretations to surface. Try to read the poem in these manners: a. Continuous reading in a normal pace b. Continuous reading in a slow pace c. Reading in parts (every five lines) in a slow pace. Analyze the poem first then answer the questions below(Write in one whole sheet of paper) a. What was your experience in reading the poem? Was it easy or difficult to read?Why? b. What words make it a difficult poem? c. What is the tone of he poem? How does it sound like? Note: This will be submitted on Monday (July 31 - Yellow Paper). Our topic on Monday revolves on current news. Read the newspaper or check the internet about the latest happenings in our country. We all need to be aware about the happenings in our environment.

Five Brothers, One Mother  Taurus St., Cinco Hermanos, Marikina  The Marikina house wasn’t finished yet, but with an ultimatum hanging over our heads, we had no choice but to move in. Just how unfinished the house was became bruisingly clear on our first night. There was no electricity yet, and the windows didn’t have screens. There were mosquitoes. I couldn’t sleep the whole night. My sister slept on a cot out in the upstairs hall instead of her room downstairs, maybe because it was cooler here. Every so often she would toss and turn, waving bugs away with half-asleep hands. I sat beside her and fanned her. She had work the next day. ATTENTION: ALL SHS STUDENTS TAKING UP 21ST CENTURY LITERATURE Kindly cut out news clippings of oppression happening in other parts of the world. Please bring the newspaper clippings tomorrow. This will be our activity after all the presentations. Bring paste and 3 pieces of bond paper.  a) You will write a reaction about it.  b) Write about the realities of struggles that happen in a country faced with an oppressive ruler. c) Relate the details and images in the poem and how it can be related to actual historical events in the story. d) Explain the dramatic situation presented in the poem.
